There is news from a company called Lighting Science Group Corporation (www.lsgc.com) about an LED (light emitting Diode) Lamp.
They will be four times more energy efficient than Halogen Lamps and will last 20 times longer giving you around 50.000 hours more light. These funky new lamps emit no UV (ultraviolet) or IR (infrared) light.
The new LED lamp contains no mercury and are cool to touch they will help maintain the environment and reduce your energy bill, overall a great earth friendly product.
